How your tour gets booked
You message me on WhatsApp and I confirm the date, time, meeting point and price based on the table on the website. Your tour is booked once we both confirm it on WhatsApp.
If you cancel or change the date
48 hours or more in advance: no problem. If you paid a deposit, I give it all back.
Less than 48 hours: you can move the date once at no cost, if I have another free day. If we can’t find another date, the deposit isn’t refunded.
If the number of people changes: let me know before the tour and the price is adjusted to the table.
If you’re late or don’t show up
I wait 30 minutes at the meeting point. If you’re late, the tour still ends at the time we agreed. If you don’t show up and don’t let me know, the tour counts as done.
Rain, typhoons and alerts
City tours: they go ahead even if it rains, because Tokyo has plenty of covered places. If you’d rather not go out in the rain, tell me and we’ll find another date.
Hiking: if there’s heavy rain, snow on the trail or a weather alert, we move the date or I refund everything you paid.
Typhoon or official alert: if trains are suspended or there’s an alert in Tokyo, we move the date at no cost or I refund everything.
If I have to cancel
If I get sick or something serious happens, I’ll let you know as soon as possible and offer you another date. If it doesn’t work for you, I refund everything you paid.
Tours outside Tokyo
The conditions for tours outside Tokyo are agreed when I send you the quote, because they depend on tickets and transport.
Expenses during the tour
Trains, tickets and meals (yours, plus my trains and tickets during the tour) are paid separately, on the spot, and aren’t part of the tour price.
